Ponce Inlet Florida Condos

Back in 1513, decades before the Jamestown settlement was even founded, Juan Ponce DeLeon traveled to Florida in search of the Fountain of Youth. He did not find it, but he did give his name to one of the most beautiful spots in (what is now) the State of Florida: Ponce Inlet. Today, the community sits in a unique position on Florida’s Atlantic coast. As the town is near the southern tip of a barrier island, it has little in the way of through traffic. Yet, it is not some isolated, out of the way town; far from it, in fact. Nestled between Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach, a bridge to the mainland is but a few scant miles to the north. From there, the interstate highway system (I-4 and I-95) provides easy access to all that the state has to offer. Also, the Daytona Beach International Airport is close by, so you can fly in to the area. To the south is Port Canaveral, which gives you the opportunity to hop on a cruise ship and tour the Caribbean. 

Many people relish the idea of renting a Florida condo, and there are plenty available. Real estate may be in short supply, but Ponce Inlet has beach bungalows, condominiums and apartments to choose from. Furthermore, the cost of renting in that area is quite reasonable. Some Ponce Inlet condos can be had for little or nothing - and amenities, where to start? As the town is on a barrier island, the sea beckons. If you are of the athletic variety, you can swim, fish, snorkel, scuba dive, sail etc. You could probably do a different activity every day of your stay there. If you like your physical activity a bit more low-key, half a dozen golf courses are minutes away. Among them: Daytona Beach Golf Club, Hidden Lakes Golf Club, Sugar Mill Country Club and Cypress Head Golf Course. 

For those interested in history, the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is the tallest in Florida, and hosts a magnificent museum. You want something a bit more substantial? The lovely city of St. Augustine is to the north, oldest city in North America. And, thanks to the interstate highways, all manner of amenities are close at hand. What would Florida be without its various theme parks? Plus, the Orlando area (little more than an hour away) boasts Universal Studios, Island of Adventure, Sea World and a host of local parks. 

When looking to invest in Ponce Inlet Florida real estate, some of it can be very expensive. A waterfront cottage can cost as much as two million dollars! Not exactly pocket change. Yet, if you're lucky you can get some fabulous condos at  great bargains. And considering the location – its a true steal.
