A Palm Coast vacation condominium! Ah, that summons up many a pleasant image for most people. A discussion of what’s available throughout the entire state would take pages, so let us look at places along Florida’s Palm Coast, one of the state’s premier vacation spots. First, this is an area that stretches from just below the Jacksonville area, south to a spot roughly parallel with Orlando, a bit north of Cape Canaveral.
When it comes to the amenities, the Palm Coast condos have it all! You like to golf? Well, the Palm Coast area has easy access to a number of outstanding courses. And, speaking of access, traveling to the area is easy, what with Daytona Beach International Airport to the south, Jacksonville International to the north, and Orlando International in the west. With the interstate highway system, I-4 and I-95, you can travel anywhere in a matter of a few hours. Of course, one amenity synonymous with Florida is Disney. All of the Palm Coast communities are only a short drive from Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World and countless other theme parks and recreation centers.
The Florida real estate market is forever growing and changing. Often at times, it is hard to buy real estate there, due to the high cost. So, many people prefer to just look into the option of a vacation rental. Where you can stay, all depends on what you can afford. In some places, condo rentals can run from $400 a week all the way up to $5,500 a week! For this, you can expect private beaches, deep sea fishing, hot tubs, windsurfing, shuttles to Orlando (and the theme parks) etc. On the other hand, the real estate market in some of the smaller coastal communities has beachside bungalows as low as $85 a week. Granted, some of them have fewer amenities. But - when you consider the area and what it has to offer - it more than makes up for any shortcomings of the accommodations.
Looking beyond the ocean, the golfing and the theme parks, there are plenty of things to do and see along the Palm Coast. If history is your bag, visit St. Augustine. Many people do not know this, but it is the oldest permanent settlement in America; established by the Spaniards in 1565. On the other hand, if you want to look to the future, the Kennedy Space Center is less than an hour’s drive away. Visiting there, you can see the Space Shuttle being readied for its next mission. In addition, several cruise lines use Port Canaveral as a departure point. So, while on vacation, you could hop aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, or a Disney cruise ship and take a three or four day cruise (or longer, depending on your time and budget).
Further to the south sits Key West. Not only is it a picturesque spot, famous for its fishing, boating, snorkeling and scuba diving, but it was once home to Ernest Hemingway. For some writers, a pilgrimage to see his house, his typewriter, is almost a religious experience. In addition, if you are an adult, and you care to… indulge in a bit of… frivolity, Key West has their annual fantasy fest. From mid October, through Halloween, it is one wild party!
So, it is easy to see that the Palm Coast real estate market has enormous potential.
