Flagler Beach is a lovely place, one of the last quaint beachside towns in the state of Florida. If eating out at McDonald’s, Burger King or Wendy’s appeals to you, this is not the city for you. The community is very proud of its open-air seaside cafes, fine restaurants, small shops, and the farmers’ market they hold every Friday down by the fishing pier. Real estate and the condos out here at Flagler Beach are quite something else alright. For the town sits smack dab in the middle of three state parks and protected wetlands, making it an ideal place for bird watching or exploring nature. And, dolphins are known to migrate along its pristine beaches; many people watch them from the shore, boats and the balconies of nearby condos and apartments. Rents in the area vary. But you pretty much get access to all their amenities. We are talking tennis courts, fitness centers, and arts and crafts. Want to get out on the water? There you will find boating, sailing, surfing, parasailing and jet-skiing, to name only a few. Buying real estate in Flagler Beach is definitely the right choice, its like living in paradise.
And snoozing on the beach has never been easier than on Flagler Beach. Some stretches of beach are so quiet and peaceful that you may only see a dozen other people! Also, the community is rather unique for Florida; it actually allows drinking on the beach. So, go ahead and bring along your favorite cocktail to sip. Want to try your hand at golf? The Flagler Beach Public Golf Course can be as close as a few steps out your front door. Plus, a dozen more courses are within easy driving distance. So, what are you waiting for, get ready to invest in real estate here, if you're falling a short on funds, rent those gorgeous condos for a week or two and you'll be convinced to save up to buy your dream home here.
If you like your exercise to involve a bit more exertion, the town has twenty-five miles of bike paths that weave and run along the oceanfront. One path leads to the first oceanarium every built – Marineland. If you are a Baby Boomer, surely you will remember the old Lloyd Bridge’s television show, “Sea Hunt.” It was filmed there.
Then, if you decide to see more of the state, it is just outside your door. The oldest city in North America, St. Augustine, is only forty minutes away. Want to try a different beach? Beautiful Daytona Beach is just twenty minutes to the south. If you decide you want some fun and excitement in Orlando, hop on the I-4 and you can easily spend the day at Epcot, Universal Studios, or any of a number of theme parks.
It’s easy to see that picking out a piece of Florida real estate in Flagler Beach is a wise move. We're talking magnificient condos with breath-taking views coupled with an idea climate year around. Indeed, it offers the best of both worlds: small town charm and access to all that big cities have to offer. |
